Summary: Manny was born in Honolulu, HI and lived there for most of his childhood. Manos comes from a very large family consisting of 6 sister and 5 brother. Early life was a struggle. With so many children they were often left alone and essentially raised themselves. At age 9 Manny’s family moved to Denver, Colorado. Coming from a large family and rough childhood Manny found a home with his aunt and uncle whom he refers to as his parents. At age 11 Manos began his boxing career and has over 75 amateur bouts. At the age of 19 Manny decided to turn Pro. All tough his professional record might be questionable Manny has significant victories over Jose Miguel Cotto, Edgar Santana, and Brandan Rios. Manos fights at 135-Lightweight but often has to take contests at 147-Welterweight. He simply can’t find anyone to fight him at his weight class. Manos also is not afraid to fight on someone’s home turf. He fought Paul Mcloskey in Belfast, Ireland (Lost a Decision), and Vernon Paris Detroit, Michigan (Lost Decision). Manos fights are exciting and filled with heart. There was an uproar in his recent defeat against Vernon Paris. People scoring the fight had Manny winning 7 rounds to 3, however the hometown judges gave Paris the victory. ESPN analyst Teddy Atlas was disgusted and praised Manos performance.

Manos works a regular Monday through Friday Job in order to take care of his family, and then trains after work. With these long days he still has enough energy to come home and spend time with his family which is everything to him. His motivation comes from his wife Leanne and his beautiful boys.
