Gaethje found a home for his overhand right, landed some vicious body shot, and finally finished a very tough Nick Newell via TKO in the 2nd round. Justin “The Highlight” Gaethje vs. Brian Cobb

Location: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada

Undefeated Lightweight Justin Gaethje welcomed UFC one-timer Brian Cobb to WSOF’s decagon. Gaethje took control early in the first round with powerful strikes, but he gave up a takedown after an ill-advised flying knee. Cobb dominated the rest of the round from back mount as he punished Gaethje with strikes and submission attempts. Gaethje got back into the fight in round 2 but relied more on his punches than his kicks. But, it was the third round where Gaethje impressed. He mixed in a lot violent leg kicks with his power shots and forced referee Steve Mazagatti to stop the fight.

Giovanni “The Predator” Merceron vs. Marcus Dawkins

It only took thirty two seconds for Gio” to win his second professional fight. Watch GIO stun Marcus Dawkins with a cross hook then put him away with a cross up top. Coaches call him the Leonardo Da Vinci of boxing, his opponents call Gio “The Predator”.

Grudge fighter Justin “The Highlight” Gaethje was able to stay undefeated courtesy of a first round stoppage. The doctor stopped the fight after JZ sustained a nasty cut. Gaethje was on full attack mode once the fight started. The Highlight landed a stream of steady blows putting Cavalcante off guard and in defense mode until the fight was stopped. Grudge fighter Manny Perez lost a very questionable decision in front of a hometown Detroit crowd for Paris on Friday night fights on ESPN. The Denver Post scored the fight on TV for Perez 96-94. Fans Scoring the Fight on FACEBOOK gave Perez 8 rounds to 2 for Paris. ESPN Teddy Atlas marked the fight a draw. ESPN’s Bernardo Osuna called it a controversial decision. The hometown Detroit Judges scored it a unanimous decision for Paris. Manny “Manos” Perez is always a sportsman and true gentleman and congratulated Paris after the fight. Rematch in Colorado?

Giovanni “The Predator” Merceron vs. Brad Jackson

Gio improved his record to 3-0 over a very experienced Brad Jackson 15-8-1 via unanimous decision. Brad Jackson tried to turn this into a grappling match and spent most of his time trying to hold “The Predator”. Gio kept his composure and stuck to his game plan to keep his perfect record.
